Our story

The little café on the border.

Tucked into a corner of Kington's historic High Street, Border Bean has been pouring honest coffee and serving home-baked food to locals, walkers and cyclists for years. We're a small, owner-run team who believe in good ingredients, fair prices and a proper welcome.

Pull up a chair by the window, settle in with the paper, or fuel up for a day on Offa's Dyke. Whichever side of the border you're crossing - you're welcome here.

A truly wonderful coffee stop as you pass over the English/Welsh border. The coffee is accompanied by a wide selection of homemade cakes.
